In life I would like to become a sucessful marketer and advertiser along with eventually starting my own business. I plan to start a business in the food industry, most likely a bakery. After college I plan to be an advertiser and marketer for 15 years plus, saving up my money to start a business. I plan to pick the perfect location a place that desires a bakery and I will soon develop a high end backery with desserts that people world wide will be dying to try.

One of the many traditions my family does every year, is between my immediate family we set a night to get together eat food and decorate the tree. With that means every year we head out east and cut down our own tree. After that we drive and come home to christmas music and food ready to eat in the oven and thus the tree decorating begins. Decorations at every cresent in the house, not one spot lacking the spirit of christmas.

I disagree that the word selfie should be the word of the year. Selfie is a slang word, a made up word and in all means should not be added to the dictionary let alone become the word of the year. Selfie is an ignorant word that people will use in a possible hashtag to gain more likes a photo. I disagree becuase I do not even believe selfie is a real word and shal not be placed in the dictionary.

My fondest memory of Business Olympics was getting up infront of the judges and presenting. My team had a great skit and it all worked out better than we expected. When we presented our ideas were clear and stated the best we could. If I could improve my business olympics I would use a different presentation format. My old format was boring and not intreging. Overall Business Olympics is one thing I will always remember from high school.

My fondest memory of high school had to be my field hockey career. Since the start of freshmen year I had been on the team and throughout the past 4 years I have had four different experiences yet all are so similar. My freshmen year my mom would call me the water break girl, if one of my starting teammate needed a drink I would be the teammate to go in for her and play her position for a few seconds. At the start of sophomore year, I became a starter and thats when it all changed. Field hockey was my foundest memory of high school. My foundest memory of Middle School was getting the honor of being captain of the softball team. I was one of the rare few to make the team of as a 7th grader and than for my next year making captain became such an honor. My foundest memory of Elementary School had to have been when I was in the kindergarden circus. I was a type rope walker and I got to wear a squence costume. That must have been my foundest memory.

My best skill in school is multitasking, I have the intention spand to be working on other things while paying attention to my teacher. This skill helps me actually stay focused on what the teacher is actually saying. If I am not working or doing something while the teacher is talking I may lose focus and become clueless on what is being said. I do best with hands on projects because with public speaking and test taking I let my anixety get the best of me. This is my best skill because when doing the project I can stayed focus on my object, get all my main points out. With speaking or test taking, I can never truly get all my thoughts out clearly. Its important while doing the project that I have the ebiligility i didnt have while public speaking or test taking.

Yesterday, being Veterans day, I took the time out of my day to really consider and be grateful for everything the Vets have done for this country. My grandpa being a Veteran, is the head of a Veterans center upstate and yesterday there was a huge celebration. A parade that went through the town. He even got to ride in a car and wave to all those who came out to support. Veterans is a huge day in my family because my grandpa had surved in the war and that really puts Veterans day into perspective for myself and my family. My grandfather had risked his life for this country and that means the world to me.

For starters fall is not my favorite season so I'm not greatful for many things about it. But since I must write somethings about fall I do enjoy the time in fall when its a perfect weather for just a sweater. Heading toward the cool part of the season sets the perfect time to pick your apples and carve some pumkins. After the whole pumkin picking event you enter into a warm house have some hot apple cider and get baking. The atmosphere will be filled with pumkin and cinnamon spells, it warms the house and it givens me the only reason to appreciate the fall season, as the leaves change and get swept away by the gusting wind.

Smithtown's very own Patrick Vecchio won as town supervisor for the 35th year running. Vecchio is 83 years old and has been the longest presiding supervisor in New York State. Mr. Vecchio was a former member of the NYS Police Department and retired with a career rank of Dective Sergeant. He has been on many local boards and service organizations. I think with all his experience he will be a sucess in running our Smithtown office. The man has had an education St. John University and seems to me very sucessful, Mr. Vecchio will do a fine job in office and I have no conern for while he is serving. If our public believes he will do a fine job I will not be one to disagree.

In 5 years from now I will have graduated from college with a degree of Marketing and Advertising and a minor in E-Commerce. Following my graduation from college I will be on a search for a job in the advertising business. After a few years in the advertising business I will go on to proceed in starting my own business. I would like to start my business in food, most likely a bakery.

Super Storm Sandy was the start to a bad year in America with a shooting weeks later, Sandy had become a negative word. At the start of my Sandy Experience I had watching tv, knowing the storm was awaiting us, the light flickered, then would go back on. I would look out the window, the power lines flying left to right, left to right. Knowing what my destiny was awaiting and my lights flickering, they offically went out. Quick to run to light my candle and join in with the rest of my family in boring lightless activies. The storm had impacted my family because we were out of power for 8 days, a refrigerator full of food and a basemeet freezer filled with meats, my family would than be at lose. The next day my dad had heard news of generators going on sale, quickly he went to the place with cash in his handy ready to save our food. The generator was only well enough to run a few things at a time the freezer and maybe the tv. Luckily my house ran on a gas stove and water heater so I was instantly set to be atleast clean. One of the major difficulties of living on an island is the support of easy access to gas. Without gas my family would not be able to run our generator and that would be a biggest trouble. Sandy was a life time experience, that I will never forget.

I believe the better question is, is this really breaking news? For starters, Mc Donalds is in my opinion is the most unhealthy, lowest grade of food I have ever experienced. Their meat I guarentee is probably not even meat, so in my opinion a change is ketch up should not really effect me.
Since there is a change of in ketchup I do not believe this effects McDonalds at any means. McDonalds wether we want to believe it or not a change it ketchup will not change their customer relationship and will not effect their business, if you are a relgious eatter of McDonalds, a change in ketchup will not change the abunant amount of times one will stop by and get low quality cheap meat.

This year I am not participating in Safe Halloween but I did in the past years here. Besides participating in Safe Halloween, when I was a youngster I often went to safe halloween it was the high light of my october besides the actually night of halloween. When I was younger i rememeber the times when I would enter into a haunted house holding my dads hand so tight being afraid of the older high school kids trying to scare me. My ultimate favorite part of going to safe halloween was after all the fright that had been instilled in me, I would recieve a nice mouth watering candy at the end. Safe Halloween was an experience I will never forget, and I'm glade to say that in the past I returned the favor to the younger children.

Starbucks is more than a type of coffe... lets be honest, many of us can make coffee at home but we will spend our time on a line for a simple cup of overpriced coffee from starsbucks. Starbucks is a brand and the brand symbolises wealth. When buying a starbucks coffee we are paying for not only the liquid inside the cup but the label on the outside as well. Starsbuck is found nationally and because of that we see many famous individuals struting around with their Starbucks coffee. Due to this if Starbucks proceeds in making their coffee and buys out Teavana to become more imfamous, once the brand name is out their, I believe in the next years Teavana will be a well known name and you will not only be paying for the delicous tea but for name on the outside of the cup as well.

I believe that no one should have access to students personal information espeically not a nongovermntal foundation. inBloom is a company bassed on consuming personal information from local schools and placing it into a a data base. Myself, along with many other parents feel we can not trust a nongovernmental agency and that families should have the option of allowing personal information to become annouced to the company. But InBloom annouces that this information will never be released will out school officals consent. InBloom states how the information will help to not only select classes, bus schedules and etc., but it will help those for less frequent teacher confrenece meetings. I believe that there should be no need for any a nongovernmental website to have control over my grades or my peers.

My favorite genre of music is country because it is inspirational and gives the vibe of summer. Summer is my favorite time of year. The warm days when I get to wear shorts and t-shirts and be comfortable with the weather. The best is driving to the beach with country music playing, upon arrival and setting up at the beach the music helps you relax. The beach with country music gives the perfect enviornment for summer.

Now that the government is now back in session, I feel that the Democrats and Republicans must come together in an agreement. My biggest concern about the shut and/or future shutdown is how will this affect our economy? With the last shutdown many lost faith in our government and more importantly people started to retract their money in stocks. This shutdown can really affect our economy and that will be my biggest concern.
